In preparation for this potential disruption the Distance Learning Office has taken a couple of steps to help you deliver some or all your content in an online format.Distance Learning has taken the following steps to assist you through this process:Enrolled all faculty in the Blackboard Basics Class (Inside Faculty Support)Developed a COVID-19 toolkit within Faculty Support course to provide quick directions on performing tasks in BlackboardDeployed Distance Learning staff to all three campuses with an online appointment booking systemLogging into BlackboardYou can access Blackboard either through MYECC or Directly from BlackboardUsing MYECCGo to on the word “here” in the Blackboard Module in the Blackboard ModuleDirectly from BlackboardGo to Click on the Blue Login buttonIf prompted, enter your SUNY Erie credentialsAccessing Faculty SupportFaculty Support contains the Blackboard Basics class, the COVID-19 toolbox, multiple other training modules and a variety of Blackboard and online teaching resources. In the Course List, Click on Faculty SupportBlackboard BasicsDistance Learning has made the Blackboard Basics class available to all faculty. This class covers:Navigating the Blackboard EnvironmentAdding Documents to BlackboardCreating Discussions Forums, Assignments and TestsUsing the Gradebook in Blackboard.You can access Blackboard Basics by doing the following:Go into the Faculty Support ClassIn the Navigation List on the Left of the course, click on Blackboard Basics TrainingCOVID-19 ToolkitDistance Learning is put together a series of quick access directions and videos to show you how to create elements within your Blackboard course.
