Dear Parent(s)/Guardians(s):

We are getting ready to welcome your child to the Bell Oaks School for what promises to be an exciting and enjoyable year! The school year begins for students on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, which will be a half-day session (dismissal at 12:31 P.M.).

Our school hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; students should not arrive more than five (5) minutes before the bell in order to provide proper supervision for all of our students. We ask that all students arrive to school on time, as tardiness is not a healthy start to any day and may result in disciplinary action.

Students will enter the building at the following locations:

Grade 5 – will enter the school at Exit 2, located next to the All-Purpose Room/Gym.

(Bell Road)

Grade 6 – will enter the school at Exit 6, located next to the Media Center.

(Anderson Avenue near hockey fields)

Grade 7 – will enter the school at Exit 4, located next to the Music Room.

(Anderson Avenue across from the cemetery)

Grade 8 – will enter at Exit 5, located in the courtyard at the rear of the building next to the cafeteria, and will be dismissed at Exit 6. (Anderson Avenue)

On the first day of school - after entering the building from designated areas outlined above, students in grades five and six will first gather in the cafeteria where they will meet with our staff for homeroom assignments. Students in grades seven and eight will report to the all-purpose room for the same procedures.
