Dividend Ruler Portfolio

An exclusive UBS Portfolio | Fee-Based Account UIT Fact Card

Investment Objective & Principal Investment Strategy

The Dividend Ruler Portfolio is a unit investment trust (UIT) that seeks total return through dividend income and capital appreciation by investing in a relatively fixed portfolio of stocks and American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) identified by UBS Financial Services research meeting its criteria for "dividend ruler" stocks. Dividend income can play an important role in an equity portfolio by enhancing performance in up markets and helping to offset price declines in down markets.

Quality Selection Standards

The portfolio was selected based on the assumption that companies that exhibit strong growth and consistency of their dividend payments have the potential to be strong market performers over time; however, past performance is not a guarantee of future results.

Attractive yield. Dividend yield greater than the S&P 500 dividend yield.

Solid fundamentals. U.S. stocks included on the Sector Outperform List by UBS CIO Wealth Management Research ("WMR") and ADRs rated "Buy" by UBS Investment Research at the time they are added to the Dividend Ruler Stock List.

Dividend growth. 10-year compounded average growth rate of dividends per share (DPS) of greater than 4%.

Dividend consistency. The Dividend Ruler Portfolio invests in companies that have 10year dividend growth rates that can be described as "straight as a ruler." Here is where the "straight as a ruler" measure comes into play. The UIT invests in stocks that have exhibited the greatest consistency of their past 40 quarterly cash-dividend payments relative to their trend line.

Key Points to Consider1

According to a recent UBS CIO WMR commentary, UBS CIO WMR believes one of the keys to successful investing is identifying an attractive long-term investment strategy and sticking with it despite the inevitable gyrations in financial markets. They continued to seek out high-quality, consistent dividend growth stocks that offer an attractive current dividend and have a favorable fundamental outlook. They believe this will continue to be an attractive strategy over time for investors seeking dependable income from the equity market. So while the election outcome has had an impact ? particularly for select equity market sectors ? their disciplined approach to selecting high-quality dividend growers with solid current fundamentals does not change.

Fee-Based Account UIT Fact Card

Unit Investment Trusts (UITs) are sold only by prospectus. You should consider the trust's investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses carefully before investing. Contact your financial professional or visit Advisors Asset Management online at uit to obtain a prospectus, which contains this and other information about the trust. Read it carefully before you invest.

Risks and Considerations: Unit values will fluctuate with the portfolio of underlying securities and may be worth more or less than the original purchase price at the time of redemption. There is no guarantee that the objective of the portfolio will be achieved. Additionally, the trust may terminate earlier than the specific termination date as stated in the prospectus. An investment in this unmanaged unit investment trust should be made with an understanding of the following risks: Common Stock: An investment in common stocks should be made with an understanding of the various risks of owning common stock, such as an economic recession and the possible deterioration of either the financial condition of the issuers of the equity securities, the general condition of the stock market, or an impact to the market price. Dividend Payment Risk: An issuer of a security may be unwilling or unable to pay income on a security. Common stocks do not assure dividend payments and are paid only when declared by an issuer's board of directors. The amount of any dividend may vary over time. Foreign Securities: An American Depositary Receipt (ADR) is a U.S. dollar-denominated form of equity ownership in a deposit in the issuer's home market. Securities of foreign issuers held by the portfolio present risks beyond those of U.S. issuers. These risks may include market and political factors related to the issuer's foreign market, international trade conditions, less regulation, smaller or less liquid markets, increased volatility, differing accounting practices and changes in the value of foreign currencies. Long-Term Strategy: The UIT matures in 15 months and, as such, investors should consider their ability to reinvest any proceeds in a subsequent UIT, if available, with a like or differing strategy, at the applicable sales charge. For Use Only with Eligible Fee-Based Account Investors: During the trust's initial offering period, investors who purchase units through registered investment advisers, certified financial planners or registered broker-dealers who in each case either charge investor accounts periodic fees for brokerage services, financial planning, investment advisory or asset management services, or provide such services in connection with an investment account for which a comprehensive "wrap fee" charge is imposed may be eligible to purchase units of the trust in fee-based accounts that are not subject to the transactional sales fee but will be subject to the creation and development fee that is collected by the sponsor (i.e. the "Fee-Based Account" sales charge). You should consult your financial advisor to determine whether you can benefit from these accounts and whether your unit purchases are eligible for this discount. To purchase units in these accounts, your financial advisor must purchase units designated with one of the Fee Account CUSIP numbers, if available. The amounts shown are different from what would be applicable for units purchased in other accounts (i.e. commission-based accounts) not eligible for this discount. See your prospectus and consult your financial advisor for more information about eligibility and applicability of the fee-based account discount. This communication may only be used with investors that are eligible for this discount.
