Comply with the BLM’s current travel and transportation guidance and policies as documented in the 1626 Travel and Transportation Manual (2016).Manage the travel and transportation system in a manner that protects natural and cultural resources, while providing for motorized, non-motorized, mechanized, and non-mechanized access needed to support a variety of resource and resource management uses (authorized, administrative, and public). Manage existing infrastructure associated with permitted resource uses on public lands, such as, but not limited to fences, stock tanks, and rights-of-way. Identify and maintain access to the Sawtooth National Forest designated road and trail network. Identify where and what type of easements for access to public land should be considered. We need your input on the preliminary route network options or criteria that should be considered as we evaluate and designate routes.
