7. Scott and Susan’s son, Paul, is willing to donate blood to a young girl with leukemia. If the recipient has type O blood, will Paul be able to donate to her?

8. Wendy recently had a baby and was pressed by the hospital to name a father but she doesn’t know who it is. The baby has AB blood type. Who could be the father?

9. Anne and Larry have learned some startling news…they are twins! Their mom, Camille, gave them up at birth. Each was adopted by different parents. But recently, Charlie came forward and claimed that he was their father. He was only a teenager at the time of their birth and he said he wasn’t ready to be a dad. Explain how it is possible for Charlie to be their dad.

10. Extra Credit: What would be the probability that if Charlie and Susan were to have another child, the child would have AB blood type?

11. Draw out a Punnett square for Scott and Anne’s possible children. What are the probabilities of their possible offspring?

12. If Larry was sick and needed a blood transfusion whose blood would he be able to receive?
