• Moody’s Rating Report

1. XSDM -> download the excel spread sheet there (there is a template that brings in the debt ratings for the given countries)

2. Or just open the excel “Sovereign Debt Monitor Copy_Bloomberg.exl” downloaded from Bloomberg in Moody’s rating file and click [pic] to update excel sheet

3. Or you can find sovereign debt ratings by going to CSDR and then clicking on "LT" or "ST" for long term debt ratings and short term debt ratings respectively. These are listed by region, so when you click into the option, all of the country's and their respective ratings will be given for that region. CSDR screen is not exportable to excel

4. Or MDY (this is the database of all Moody’s rating)

• Non-listed Company Information

1. PVSR can be used to search for "private company description search".

2. Or you can carry out private company searches from PRVC for uk private company search

3. PVSR Hydro -> All-country ->

• Use Company name to search for its Ticker:

1. More financial information is on FA . For example, take Exxon- XOM Equity FA-->then on the left hand side almost to the bottom there is an "Energy Analysis" heading

2. Otherwise: Via Excel you would need some type of identifier to use in the formula. In other words, you would need to start with a ticker or a CUSIP, etc. So if you only have company names you would have to work via the terminal-->the best option would be to ensure that autocomplete is turned on by going to the Terminals dropdown (top of screen in grey toolbar)-->Command line-->autocomplete auto-->that way when you start typing a company such as General Electric -->you will get suggested security matches-->you can then click on the one that matches GE US EQUITY-->you can note the ticker here GE-->or you can run DES to note the ticker on the description page.

3. In order to find most of them, such as CEK Equity for Capian Energy. I would recommend working your way through the list by using the autocomplete or HL-->search option. You can then reconnect with the ones that you cannot find tickers for

• Carbon Credit Emissions company

1. CED --> then click on 1) CDP ticker list if the screen wont populate with name of companies. Which function performs a sophisticated search for securities with fields/columns related to Emissions

2. Or EMIS which is the Carbon Markets/Alternative Energy function divided into different assets

• CDS Spread

1. If you run ALLQ you can see the pricing sources available. For example CT392076 Curncy ALLQ you can see the available pricing sources. In this case you may see CMA. CMA is a popular third party contributor for CDS spreads. They allow Bloomberg to host their spreads on the terminal, however when it comes to downloading the data to Excel they require users to sign a separate contract with them. If you would like to do this please refer to CMA - 15) Support. You may download spreads contributed by one of the Bloomberg pricing source instead, like CBGN which is an end of day snapshot of the CBIN [Bloomberg Intraday price] with NY close, as you are using in your spreadsheet. However, in this case the pricing sources are not available

-----------------------

[i] The reason we choose the tickers in “Exchange” but not in “Domisile country” because EQS search pulls in the ticker that corresponds to the exchange on which our database considers the company's primary listing is. The company's domicile is not always the same as the country of the primary listing. 600011 CH appears in your search but under its Hong Kong ticker. Answered by Glenn Johnson, Bloomberg

[ii] Equity GCAS

GCAS is a search function for global energy asset classes- a database for things such as Oil Refineries, Power Plant/Nuclear Facilities, LNG Terminals, Oil Pipelines, and Natural Gas Pipelines and so on.
