We are committed to providing you information as early as possible in the process, and hope that this notice gives you time to prepare and adjust budgets accordingly.” The American Heart AssociationIn my meeting with Sandra, she expressed an extreme disappointment that Corporate did not give at least a 90 day notice about the price increase, but does not for see that effective date changing.This price increase is effective 1.1.2013. Therefore, the card price will change from $ 4.00 to $5.00. It is in your best interest to place a card request prior to 12.28.12. All BLS cards after 12.28.12 will be $5.00 each. I anticipate large card orders prior to 12.28.12, if you know you are going to order, please email me ASAP the proposed number you are ordering so I can assure I have the cards to process your orders. So, when I am requesting paperwork to be completed in a specific way, I am mandated to do so.During the review, Sandra expressed concern over the lack of number of student manuals that are being ordered and given out at courses. In the past, companies were allowed to library manuals – this is not AHA policy. I have told you in the past that we could do this and AHA will not tolerate it any longer. They are now checking numbers at the distributors (Channing Bete, WorldPoint, and Leardal) to assure that there is a manual purchased for each certification card. It is policy that each participant has a manual available before, during and after each AHA course. I expressed concern over the cost of mailing manuals out through the mail. He was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer and also needed surgery for his Crohn’s Disease. He had an 8 hour surgery at the Mayo the end of October and is now on the mend. They are confident that they got all the cancer and he is getting stronger every day. We are hopeful he will be returning back to work after Christmas and life will soon return to normalcy. I just wanted to take a moment and ask you to appreciate what you have (family, friends, and health). We so often take all these things for granted – I know I did – until I realized how easily it can all go away at a moment’s notice. So… during this time of Holiday hustle, bustle and when stress is high – do your best to think about what really matters and know everything else will fall into place.I thank all of you for your continued alignment with LifeSavers Training Center and your commitment to help save lives.
