AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course

2021 Test-Out Schedule

COVID19 Notice: All participants will be required to wear a mask. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided. You are expected to wear it the entire time you are in the building.

Course Prerequisites:

The online portion of the course MUST be completed before registering for the skills test-out session. You should use the time clock to clock your time according to the time and attendance guidelines. If you are logging in remotely, you can timestamp through CentraNet, otherwise you should submit your hours using the paper process.

Course Description:

The American Heart Association's HeartCode? BLS is web-based and accessible 24 hours a day and provides a flexible alternative to classroom training. Through case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos, this course teaches concepts of both single-rescuer and team basic life support.

Part 1 must be paired with a hands-on skills practice and testing session with a certified AHA BLS Instructor. Students who successfully complete Part 1 register to take the skills practice and testing session with an instructor. An AHA BLS Provider course card will be issued upon successful completion of all three parts.

Contact Hours

Students who complete the online HeartCode? BLS module are awarded 1.75 contact hours by the AHA. No contact hours are provided by CentraCare.
