Patricia K. Gillette, Esq. Author, sought after keynote speaker and rainmaker at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in San Francisco

Pat Gillette is actively involved in national projects focusing on the retention of women in the legal industry. She has become one of the most sought after keynote speakers on these issues and her thought provoking articles have been widely published in state and national publications. In recognition of her work to advance women in the profession, she has received the 2014 ABA Golden Hammer Award for her efforts in promoting diversity in the profession, the 2013 Fay Stender Award from the California Women Lawyers Association, the Transformational Leadership Award as one of the Top Woman Rainmakers in 2012, and the San Francisco Bar Association Award of Merit.

Pat is the co-founder of the Opt-In Project, a 2006 nationwide initiative that focused on changing the structure of law firms to increase the retention and advancement of women in the profession. She served as a Commissioner on the ABA Commission for Women in the Profession, she co-chairs the San Francisco Bar Association's No Glass Ceiling Initiative, and she is a member of the ABA's Gender Equity Task Force. Pat is also on the Board of Direct Women, a non-profit organization dedicated to placing women attorneys on boards of public companies. Pat is a member of the Austin Consortium, a national group of women thought leaders and she serves on the board of Legal Momentum.

Pat raised her two sons with her husband of 40 years in Kensington, California. She is actively involved in her community and currently serves her town as an elected official.

Hannah Thompson Frank, Esq. Partner, McGuireWoods LLP

Hannah Thompson Frank has a broad range of experience in securities and corporate law. She represents clients on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and financing transactions.

On behalf of publicly held companies, Hannah has also handled equity and debt securities offerings, tender offers, exchange offers, complex recapitalizations and consent solicitations. She also advises corporate secretaries, boards of directors and general counsel on reporting requirements under federal securities law, listing requirements for public exchanges, and other corporate governance matters.

Before joining McGuireWoods, Hannah practiced corporate and securities law as shareholder and partner for two large Pittsburgh-based law firms. She also served as assistant press secretary for U.S. Senator Arlen Specter before attaining her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Hannah was listed in the 2015 Best Lawyers in America for mergers and acquisitions law.

Susan M. Hollingsworth, Esq. Associate General Counsel, The Bank of New York Mellon

Susan Hollingsworth is Associate General Counsel in the Legal Department of the Bank of New York Mellon with responsibility for the attorneys who support the Asset Servicing businesses. Susan is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and reports directly to Fred Knecht. Her responsibilities include direct management of the attorneys who support the Asset Servicing businesses in the Americas and matrix responsibility for the attorneys who support the Asset Servicing businesses in Brazil, EMEA, UK, and Asia Pacific. Susan is often called on to give advice to other business groups within BNY Mellon when clients or products offered by these groups might intersect with Asset Servicing issues.

Susan is a member of the Legal Department Senior Staff Committee.

Susan is an active participant in the ERISA Fiduciary Lawyers Group, consisting of ERISA attorneys associated with the major institutional banks and is a member of the ABA Committee on Trust Law.

Susan has been with BNY Mellon and its predecessors since 1990. Prior to working here, she was an attorney at Reed Smith in Pittsburgh and at The First National Bank of Chicago, in Chicago. Susan has always worked on the fiduciary issues associated with ERISA, although she has also practiced in real estate law representing both real estate asset managers and real estate lenders.

Susan received an A.B. degree from Duke University in Public Policy Studies and a J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University. Susan is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.

William Campbell Ries, Esq. Shareholder, Tucker Arensberg, P.C.

Bill Ries chairs Tucker Arensberg's Investment Management and Fiduciary Services Practice Group which provides one-stop shopping for wealth managers and fiduciaries involving complex statutory and regulatory issues, risk management and compliance. Bill served as Chief Trust Counsel to a major financial institution prior to entering private practice where he acquired a broad range of experience in representing fiduciaries. He serves as an expert witness involving the duties and responsibilities of fiduciaries including estate and trust matters. He provides legal services to financial institutions, including banks, investment advisers, brokers, mutual funds and insurance companies.

Bill co-chairs Tucker Arensberg's Higher Education Practice Group and Profit Sharing Committee. In addition, he serves as town attorney for the Town of McCandless. Bill is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Duquesne University School of Law having taught courses in securities law and estate planning.

Bill is the author of "The Regulation of Investment Management and Fiduciaries," published by West Group and is a frequent speaker and lecturer. Peers awarded Bill an AV? rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, and he was named to The Best Lawyers in America? in 20102014 in the Trusts and Estates Law Category. Bill is included in Who's Who in American Law, Strathmore's Who's Who Registry of Business Leaders and Who's Who in America.

Bill is currently the Chair of the Advisory Committee on Decedents'Estate and Trust Law of the Pennsylvania Joint State Government Commission which advises the Pennsylvania Legislature on trust and estate matters. He is also a member of the Banking Law Committee and the Real Property and Probate Section of the American Bar Association. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Heart Association and is a member of the Circles Board and Institutional Development Advisory Committee of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Bill is also an active volunteer with Going Home Greyhounds, Inc.

Bill is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and is admitted to the United States Supreme Court. Bill graduated cum laude from The Catholic University of America and earned his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law.

Stephanie L. Sciullo, Esq. Associate General Counsel and Director of Litigation, MSA Safety

Stephanie Sciullo is Associate General Counsel & Director of Litigation for MSA Safety, where she manages MSA's litigation portfolio. By applying process improvement and efficiency tools to legal work, Stephanie has driven multi-million dollar cost savings and improved quality of defense. For these programs, in 2015 the Legal Intelligencer recognized MSA's Law Department as the Best Legal Department in Pennsylvania for Outside Counsel Management, and in 2014, Stephanie's work was featured as a "Value Challenge Champion" by the Association of Corporate Counsel.

Active in the in-house bar, Stephanie sits on the Board of Directors for ACC Western Pennsylvania and on the ACC's global Value Challenge Steering Committee. She is adjunct faculty at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and Duquesne University School of Law, where she developed a course about the unique role of in-house counsel.

Stephanie is passionate about women's advancement in the legal profession, hosting an annual workshop for women law students to learn about negotiating compensation, promotion, and client exposure opportunities. She is excited to be part of today's conversation about rainmaking.
