SUGGESTED AGE-APPROPRIATE TOYS & ACTIVITIES

FOR SUPERVISED VISITATION

INFANTS TO 18 MONTHS: Stuffed animals, shatterproof mirrors, ball (8" to 24" in diameter), plastic stacking containers, fitting toys, blocks, pull toys, etc.

18 MONTHS TO 3 YEARS: Picture books, crayons & coloring books, simple stencils, dolls, toy animals, push cars & trains, etc.

4 TO 5 YEAR OLDS: Story books, puzzles or sewing cards, simple games (ex: Candyland), drawing and/or construction paper & crayons, magazines and blunt scissors, legos, tinker toys, lincoln logs, etc.

5 TO 8 YEAR OLDS: Easy board games (ex: Bingo), easy books to read together, stickers and sticker books, arts and crafts materials, etc.

9 TO 12 YEAR OLDS: Rhyme and joke books, board and card games, arts and crafts projects, school work and/or projects, sports collecting cards, etc.

JUNIOR HIGH AGE: School work and/or projects, card and board games (ex: Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit), etc.

This list is meant only to be suggestions of ways to enable you and your child(ren) to enjoy the visits. Other quiet activities, suitable to the courthouse setting, are encouraged. Children often have short attention spans, so a variety of materials is recommended for each visit. Older children may suggest activities that they would like for future visits.

It is important that you and your child(ren) all enjoy these visits and that they are used as an opportunity to become better acquainted with each other. Your Supervised Visitation Advocate will be happy to discuss any specific questions that you may have.
