2018-2019 Scholarly Activity, UAB Department of Neurology, Mentor: Dr. Victor Sung. Surveyed patients and caregivers at UAB Huntington’s Disease Clinic to assess Huntington’s Disease education and experience with healthcare providers.

2014-2016 Research Technician, Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology, Nephrology Research and Training Center, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, AL. Worked as full-time employee maintaining mouse colony breeding and genotyping for gene knockout mouse colony. Continued employment as a medical student on a project to determine the efficacy of non-invasive imaging in the early detection of acute renal failure in mice.

2012-2013 Research Technician, Department of Neurobiology, University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis, TN. Worked as full-time employee as part of a state-wide mouse mutagenesis project. Duties included mouse colony maintenance and genotyping. Placed in charge of coordinating shipping/receiving experimental strains for neurodevelopmental and pathological phenotyping.

2012 Research Intern, Department of Neurobiology, University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis, TN. Worked on a mouse model for autism, correlating pathological cerebellar specimens with disease phenotype.

2017-2018 Equal Access Birmingham, Vice President of Clinical Affairs. Student led organization with the mission of providing healthcare for the uninsured of Birmingham. Worked as volunteer in the clinic and served as VP of clinical affairs, responsible for recruiting and coordinating volunteers as well as managing the weekly clinic.

2016-2017 M-Power Free Clinic (student run free clinic), Volunteer. Gathered patient histories, performed physical exams, filled prescriptions at the in house pharmacy, and assisted with social services counseling.

2015 Patient Escort Volunteer, UAB Hospital. Provided transportation for patients within the hospital.

2011 Patient Recreation Volunteer, UAB Hospital. Visited patients and offered books and board games.
