First read through the problem before performing the specific tasks requested. Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women. A person’s BMI is their body weight in pounds divided by their height in inches squared multiplied by 703. Use Excel and the instructions below to create this table which details the weights and heights associated with a specific plete this table as follows:Download the file, BMI.xlsx from Carmen.Enter BMI values of 17 through 33 horizontally across the row as seen Figure 1. If you type 17 into a cell and then use the fill handle while holding the Ctrl key, the computer automatically creates a series of numbers in ascending order.Enter the height 58 inches in a cell. In the cell below write an Excel formula using an appopriate cell reference to increment the 58 inches to 58.5 inches. Copy the formula down the column to complete the rest of the column.Enter a formula to calculate the weight of a person with a BMI of 17 and a height of 58 inches. Weight=BMI/703*Height2. Weight should be expressed in pounds and Height in inches. Make sure you understand how to use an exponent in Excel. Write the formula in a cell that corresponds to the correct BMI column and Height row.Modify this formula so that it can be copied down the column and across the row to complete the BMI table. Center and Merge a title for this table (above the BMI values) and any other column titles as needed. This title should have larger text and be bolded and italicized.Change the text color to red for numbers in cells with BMI’s in the Obese range and Underweight range as indicated the following table. CRZ Pool Company is the leader in supplying and installing quality in-ground pools for residential and commercial customers. One of the first projects you’d like to tackle is to assist your sales staff in providing customers with fast, reasonable estimates for potential pool installations. To do this you’d like to setup an estimating workbook that outlines inputs and costs for the most common pool type/size configuration. You will use the CRZ Pool Company.xlsx file you downloaded from Carmen. All of the basic pool specifications have already been input for you.You will use these inputs to calculate each component cost.Your calculations will be in cells A7:F7 and in cells F9:F15.All the other cells will be input for you.Cells B9:B15 will change based on your calculations in cells A7:F7.If your calculations are correct, the total pool costs should be $108.941.11.38550852188210003141345210312000259842026777950025984201630045003138170162433000260604016313150031432501304925001460501306830001377951304925001390651445895005186045162115500321119513576300041694101087120Your calculations will go here00Your calculations will go here1. Pool Dimensions and FeaturesThe following table contains the case you will initially evaluate. The lengths and widths, given in linear feet (1LF=1 foot) are the actual size of the pool. The maximum depth is the depth at the deepest point. All costs associated with the building of the pool are outlined below. 2. Component pricingTo calculate the cost of each pool option, use the list of construction components detailed below. Some items are priced based on the square footage (SF) - area of the pool, area of the decking, or entire area (pool + deck). Some items are priced based on linear footage (LF) - perimeter of the pool area - and some items are priced by unit (each). You will be calculating the cost of each component using the quantities and pricing given. USE CELL REFERENCES IN ALL CALCULATIONS UNLESS THE SPREADSHEET DOES NOT INCLUDE A CELL REFERENCE WITH THE VALUE NEEDED FOR THE CALCULATION.Excavation - The cost to excavate the hole required for this pool is estimated based on the pool volume using the pool length * width * maximum depth. It costs $4.00 per cubic yard (CY) to dig this hole. There are 27 cubic feet per cubic yard. Pool Structural Framing – The walls of the pool are framed out with non-removable wooden forms and structural rebar (steel bars for strength). The cost per square foot of this framing is $5.00/SF. Assume that this framing goes around the perimeter of all four sides of the pool and use the maximum depth divided by 2 as an approximation of the average framing height. (pool perimeter * pool depth/2) Filtration System, Water Hookup and Drainage – All pool options will require a filtration system, hookup to water, and drainage. These costs vary depending on the utilities available at each individual location. For estimating purposes, use the pricing below, which is based on pool capacity in gallons. The number of gallons can be estimated as the average volume of the pool (length * width * depth/2) times 8.2 gallons per cubic foot. The cost of filtration is $10,970.Pool Lining – Pool lining costs are determined by the material type and by the total square footage of the walls and bottom. For wall square footage, use the estimated quantity from the structural framing (pool perimeter * pool depth/2). For the square footage of the pool bottom use the pool area (pool length * width). The customer has decided use tile as the lining type. The cost per square foot is $12/SF.Deck – The customer has decided on a stone deck. The concrete will cost $2.25/SF. The area of the deck can be calculated by subtracting the area of the pool from the entire area ((pool length + deck width*2) * (pool width + deck width*2)).Diving Board – one type of diving board is offered at the cost of $475/each.Spa – while spas come in many styles and types, for purposes of this estimate an average cost of $2,350/each should be used.7.
