READING LIST – ENTERING SECOND GRADE

READING LIST – ENTERING SECOND GRADE

Dear Second Graders and Parents,

Please try to read one book a week over the summer. Some are easy; some are harder. This could be a good opportunity for bonding with parents, grandparents, and children reading together.

These are only suggested books to read. Your child may read other books he or she may be interested in.

I have included three different book report forms. Please do at least two reports. They should be done neatly, with questions answered in complete sentences. The book reports are not optional; not doing them will count against your grade. You may copy these book report forms, and other styles are available in the second grade room. These are due the first day of school.
