Eddie Money, selling more than twenty-eight million records, first emerged on the rock music scene in the 1970's. A New York native, Money’s passion for singing and rock and roll developed in high school. In the late 1960‘s, Money departed the confines of the East Coast for the laid-back San Francisco Bay area where his dreams of becoming a rock singer became a reality. With the support, camaraderie and guidance of concert promoter Bill Graham, Money released his self-titled debut album in 1977. His signature husky voice and edgy songs propelled the album- and Money- into international spotlight.
Money’s long career achieved the most success in the late 1970‘s and early 1980‘s, as he produced a multitude of hits ranging from “Take Me Home Tonight” to “Two Tickets to Paradise” and “Baby Hold On” to “Shakin”. Not only have these hits earned him the title as a multi-platinum recording artist, but also have helped him continue to be a celebrated and reveled rock star today.
