QUALITY SERIVCE HELPS BOSTON RESTAURANT WEATHER ECONOMIC STORM

Ristorante Euno bucks recession trend with revenue increase of 60%.

BOSTON, MASS. – (Jan. 30, 2009) – Boston’s premiere fine dining Italian restaurant, Ristorante Euno, nestled in the center of the historic North End, has seen annual sales, and its customer base, skyrocket in the midst of the critical times for the economy. Since redirecting the restaurant’s aim to reflect a focus on fine dining with value, new General Manager, Peter DeGrandis has watched sales increase by 60%.

“We are committed to providing authentic Italian food with an original twist, at fair prices, and our guests have responded favorably to this,” says DeGrandis. “We’ve observed that while people may be cutting back on the number of times they go out, they refuse to cut back on quality. During this economic downturn people are looking for more bang for their buck and are spending wisely.”

“As people decide to go out less, our guests are choosing to come to Euno to make their dining experience more memorable, adds co-owner Robert Regnetta. “At Euno we have an authentic, regional Italian menu with the highest level of fine dining guest service around.”

GROWTH CONTINUING…

Along with its innovative menu, Euno is well known for its romantic environment. With dining downstairs in its cozy wine cellar with spellbinding open fireplace, Euno has been called the perfect place for romance.

“Ristorante Euno stands out from the crowd in Boston's North End with its creative dishes and charming atmosphere,” says celebrity chef Rachel Ray. “The wine list doesn’t disappoint either, offering a wide selection of some of the best wines in the area, either by the glass or by the bottle. Don't miss the cellar downstairs for an especially romantic meal!"

The steady growth in sales seen in recent months looks to continue as reservations at Euno for Valentine’s Day, traditionally one of the industry’s busiest days of the year, are up 35% from last year.

“We are pleased to see numbers so strong and recognize that this a direct result of the quality food and expert service we deliver to each and every guest,” says co-owner Peter Alfie. “In a time when diners are selective about where they go out to eat, we are pleased and honored that they are choosing Euno.”

The National Restaurant Association agrees that the top trend restaurateurs see for 2009 is an expanded focus on value, as most consumers say that while they are more worried about the economy than they were a year ago, they still remain strongly committed to continue—and even increase—their use of restaurants.*
