Course Description: This special section of ENGL 552, designed for teachers of grades 6-12, will introduce participants to the variety of genres and of topics in current young adult fiction and nonfiction. Though many genres will be included, we will give extra attention to historical fiction and nonfiction. We will also focus on self-selected independent reading and the creation of classroom libraries.
