Below is a summary of the process to ensure that you understand, from the start, the time commitment required for a successful recruitment.Employment Process:Collect the Employment Information Pack.TO APPLY:Read the Employment Information Pack.Fill out the Employment Application Form (pg. 3-5).Read and sign the New Recruit Information Sheet (pg. 6-7).Include your parent/guardian’s signature if you are under 18 years of age.Return the documents to the store, including pages 3-7, along with a COPY of your Resume and Birth Certificate. Orientation (2hours). Listed below are some important conditions that you should consider carefully before applying.We encourage junior recruits to discuss this information with their Parent(s) or Guardians to seek their approval.All employees MUST wear the Company uniform of a black Polo shirt, apron, black dress trousers and black dress shoes, must be provided by the employees.Employees who do not present for work with the correct uniform and a neat & well-groomed appearance will be advised that their attire is unacceptable, and they will be sent home to change.The pay period, and working week, commences on the Monday and finishes on the Sunday at midnight.Wages are paid weekly each Wednesday for the previous pay period. Pay is deposited into the employee’s nominated bank account. Employees will also be email their payslips and group certificates. Every employee must have their own bank account.Employees will be required to provide a copy of their birth certificate, bank details and tax file number. No changes can be made to this listing without prior consultation with the store manager.Any request for time off must be in writing a minimum of 2 full weeks before required. Request should not be considered as approval until confirmation has been received from relevant management, as seasonal employees are required specifically to cover peak trading periods and permanent associates leave requirements.During peak trading periods in December, employees may be rostered to work late hours until 2am. It is important that employees have access to transport home for these shifts.For casual employees there is no guarantee of the quantity of hours rostered to work each week. Shifts will be rostered to suit the needs of the business and be reflective of individual employee performanceSeasonal employees offered a position for a contract period will not be guaranteed ongoing employment beyond the contract period. However we regularly select permanent employees from seasonal employees.As a Team Member, you are the face of our brand and representing our business. Being professionally presented and well-groomed is an important part of your role, and what we expect is: All Team Members must be well-groomed, clean and neatly dressed on a daily basis. Jewellery should not be excessive (eg multiple earrings or bracelets). Hair and beards must be a natural colour, clean, and neatly groomed (dyeing/highlighting hair non-natural colours, and unprofessional hair-cuts are not permitted.) The Company discourages the visible showing of otherwise offensive tattoos that it believes are improper in a business environment Wearing your uniform completely, and in a well-presented manner, including: o Black Shirt o Comfortable Shoeso Black Pants o Black skirt o Apron or Bumbag (supplied by Toymate) Team members, who do not present for work neatly dressed in accordance with the above presentation standards, will be advised that their attire or appearance is unacceptable.
