Set Priorities: Divide your tasks into three categories: essential, important and trivial and forget about the trivial. Learn to say no when you are asked to do something that overloads your time or stresses your budget or diverts you from what you really consider most important.

Be Satisfied With a Less Than Perfect Job: Identify activities you find satisfying in and of themselves and focus on enjoying the activities themselves, rather than your performance or what rewards they will bring.

Organize Your Time: Identify time-wasters. Figure out what part of the day you are most productive and do essential and important tasks then. Pace yourself by scheduling tasks, allowing time for emergencies. Leave yourself time to recharge your batteries.

Try Clean Living: Be more consistent in your living habits by trying to eat, sleep and exercise at about the same time every day.

Get Enough Sleep and Rest: Eat regular, well balanced meals with enough variety to ensure good nutrition and enough complex carbohydrates (starchy foods) to guarantee a ready energy reserve.

Listen to Your Body: It will let you know when you are pushing too hard. When that back or head aches or stomach sours, slow down, have some fun, take the time to enjoy the world around you. Set aside some time each day for self-indulgence. Focus on life’s little pleasures.

Choose fight or flight. Do not be afraid to express anger (hiding it is even more stressful than letting it out), but choose your fights; do not hassle over every little thing. When fighting is inappropriate, try fleeing –learn to fantasize or take a short break (do a puzzle, take a bath) to re-energize yourself. You also can give in once in a while instead of always insisting you are right and others are wrong.

Learn relaxation techniques: deep-breathing exercises, yoga, progressive relaxation of muscle groups, imagery etc.
