Directions: You will choose one of the above assignments for your project. You will have 3 weeks to gather your information and be ready to present to the class when we return from spring break.

The standards below will be your guide as to what information you will need.

Canada

SS6G5 The student will locate selected features of Canada.

❑ Locate on a world and regional political-physical map: the St. Lawrence River,

Hudson Bay, Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, the Great Lakes, Canadian Shield, and

Rocky Mountains.

❑ Explain the major environmental concerns of Canada regarding acid rain and pollution

of the Great Lakes, the extraction and use of natural resources on the Canadian Shield,

and timber resources
