What’s a Writing File?

It’s a resource you can use every year, like a clean copy of the part of your notebook where you work on writing assignments.

A Writing File includes information on

❖ Your name, group, level, course year on the top right corner

❖ Task Description: info on the type of text you are writing & the word limit / word count

❖ Your writing assignment and your LoM:

▪ optional: brainstorming & outline: gathering ideas, selecting them and organizing them

▪ optional: brainstorming on language*: gathering useful language (words, phrases, and language items, like “present simple”, “present continuous”, “time phrases”)

▪ writing assignment – checked by your teacher

▪ list of mistakes (LoM) to avoid (a evitar!)

▪ optional: clean copy

Brainstorming for language is important, to make your language range richer. You should include language items you have studied, as many as you can! Example…

What did I learn that I can use in this writing task?
