torque
ripple
of

has
been
confirmed
while
trapezoidally
driven.
The
scope--trace
shown
to
the
right
shows
two
legs
of
a
three
phase
Brushless
DC
Motor.
The
resultant
torque
ripple
is
so
low,
it
rivals
sinusoidal
performance,
with
a
simpler
commutaHon
requirements.
Other
benefits
of
this

efficiency

mean
current
draw
