HOW TO ARRIVE AT YOUR HOTEL

Hotel ARGUS Brussels

Adress: rue Capitaine Crespel, 6 – 1050 Ixelles (Bruxelles)

Phone number : 02/514.07.70

Please keep in mind that all signs in Brussels are written in French and Dutch (e.g. Gare du Midi/Zuidstation).

We do not recommend taking a taxi from the airport since they are extremely expensive (+ not always the fastest way to get to your destination).

From the airport to Hotel Argus:

Take the "AIRPORT CITY EXPRESS." This train stops in Brussels' three main stations (BRUXELLES MIDI/BRUSSEL ZUID – BRUXELLES CENTRAL/BRUSSEL CENTRAAL –BRUXELLES NORD/BRUSSEL NOORD). We advise you to step off the train at BRUXELLES MIDI/BRUSSEL ZUID (see below for an itinerary from the station to the hotel).A bus line called "AIRPORT LINE" provides an alternative. Step off the bus at TRONE/TROON. Take the METRO LINE 2 ( Direction CLEMENCEAU) and step off at LOUISE/LOUIZA (2 stops). When getting out of the station, you will be able to see the tower of the hotel cleverly named "The Hotel". Crespel Street (Rue Crespel or Crespelstraat), where you will find Hotel Argus is situated on the other side of this boulevard.

From "Bruxelles Midi/Brussel Zuid" (Eurostar and Thalys arrivals) to Hotel Argus:

Take the METRO (Line 2 or 6), direction ELISABETH/ELIZABETH. Step off at LOUISE/LOUIZA ( 3 stops). When getting out of the station, you will be able to see the tower of the hotel cleverly named "The Hotel". Crespel Street (Rue Crespel or Crespelstraat), where you will find Hotel Argus, is situated on the other side of this boulevard.

From "Bruxelles Central/Brussel Centraal" to Hotel Argus:

Take the METRO (Line 1, Direction "STOCKEL/STOKKEL" or Line 5, Direction "HERMANN DEBROUX"). Step off at “ ARTS LOI/ KUNSTWET” (2 stops). There, take a connection to Line 2, direction "SIMONIS LEOPOLD" or Line 6, direction "ROI BAUDOUIN/KONING BOUDEWIJN". Alight at LOUISE/LOUIZA (3 stops). When getting out of the station, you will be able to see the tower of the hotel cleverly named "The Hotel". Crespel Street (Rue Crespel or Crespelstraat), where you will find Hotel Argus, is situated on the other side of this boulevard.

Should you prefer to take a taxi, we strongly advise you to ask the driver in advance for the price of the fare. It should range in between 35 and 45 € (and will not be refunded by ULB). We actually recommend not taking a taxi upon arrival at the airport, since trains and bus shuttles offer you excellent connections from the airport to all main train stations in Brussels.

Without wishing to unduly alarm you, we would however like to bring to your attention that Brussels is a big city (it may not be a metropolis, but it is not a small town either). Do keep an eye at all times on your luggage, wallets and other valuables.

From Hotel Argus to ULB:

In the morning, a student will meet you in your hotel lobby and guide you to campus.

If your arrival schedule is later in the day and you have to travel to campus on your own, the easiest and least route to campus is BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT: return to the main boulevard named "Avenue de la Toison d'Or/Guldenvlieslaan" and walk back to the main square called "Place Louise/Louizaplein". Take tramway no. 94 (direction "Musée du Tram") or tramway no. 93 (direction "Legrand"). Alight at the "Legrand" stop. There cross the road to take T-Bus 94. Get off at the "ULB Roosevelt" stop, which is close to "Avenue Paul Héger", one of the main arteries on campus from which you can easily access all venues;

All the conference rooms are on the SOLBOSCH CAMPUS of ULB. Sessions will alternatively be held in the K building, close to "Avenue Jeanne" and "Avenue Buyl," and the D building (section C), giving onto "Avenue Depage."

There will be a map of the SOLBOSCH campus in your conference folder.

A map of the SOLBOSCH campus can also be accessed at
