Greeting people throughout the day

1. Some greetings are more formal than Hola. When you greet an older person, you may use one of the following expressions.

Buenos d?as, se?ora.

Buenas tardes, se?orita.

Buenas noches, se?or.

2. The titles se?or, se?ora, and se?orita are often used without the last name of the person.

Buenos d?as, se?or. Buenas tardes, se?ora.

Buenos d?as Draw some figures on the board. Some will represent

friends your own age and others will represent older people. Greet each of the figures on the board properly.

Saludos Look at these

photographs of young people in Spain and Mexico. As they greet one another, they do some things that are different from what we do when we greet each other. What do you notice in the photographs?
