BPS Process for Issuing a Skills & Achievement Commencement Credential
The Career Plan and Employability Profile must be completed before a Skills & Achievement Commencement Credential can be issued to a student. The SST chairperson will facilitate the process to ensure that the final Career Plan and Employability Profile are complete. Once the supporting evidence has been documented, it needs to be submitted to the school’s principal for review.
The school’s principal will review the Career Plan, Employability Profile, the IEP progress reports, and the Student Exit Summary to determine if the student has met the requirements of a Skills & Achievement Commencement Credential. If the principal determines that the student has met the requirements, the credential can be issued to the student.
The issuing of the credential must be recorded in both Infinite Campus, IEP Direct, and on the student’s permanent record card. The Career Plan and Employability Profile must be on file in the student’s permanent IEP folder, maintained by the CSE.
