For June have your auxiliary collect travel size personal care items. You know it is the beginning of the travel season and these little shampoos and the like, are readily available. Please bring them to the August GLT in Macon, separated in baggies by type. Keep a tally of the total items your auxiliary has collected. The items collected will be used for personal care packs for patients at the VA and the Fisher House. Hospital Chairperson: please tally the number of items collected by your post. There will be a special gift for the auxiliary that brings in the most items.

This will be an ongoing promotion.

Items to collect:

Soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotions, mouth wash (non-alcohol), small hand sanitizers, tooth brushes, small tubes of tooth paste.

Where to get them: Friends and family members that travel. Garage sales, and Amazon bulk.
