YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The successful applicant will have excellent written and oral communication skills and an eagerness to assist the Business Development team with a wide range of administrative duties. This is a first-rate opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in a hands-on corporate environment.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ Communicate effectively with clients on a wide range of business development matters, maintaining a positive client service approach.

▪ Assist the Business Development team with the organisation, setup and promotion of client events including, but not limited to: client morning teas, breakfast seminars, workshops and the annual Crown Law Legal Conference.

▪ Regularly update client data using a Client Relationship Management (CRM) database.

▪ Assist with the development and daily maintenance of online content for external and internal websites.

▪ Assist with the maintenance and management of client requests through the Business Development Team’s inboxes.

▪ Assist with the development of written collateral including lawyer profiles, news bulletins, client emails and internal newsletters

▪ Use aspects of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to develop collateral for internal and external clients. An understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite is also highly desirable, but not necessary.

▪ Carry out general administrative duties to assist the team in providing a high level of client service.

▪ Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships while upholding Crown Law’s core values.

▪ All other duties as requested by the Business Development Manager.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

This role would ideally suit a university student in their penultimate or final year of a Business or Communications degree, with specialty in marketing or a similar discipline. Applicants with comparable qualifications or experience who are seeking a part-time working arrangement are also encouraged to apply.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

▪ The incumbent may be required to work across various teams and branches in Crown Law.

▪ Applications to remain current for 12 months.

▪ A criminal history check will be undertaken for this position on any recommended applicant due to the nature of the work involved.

▪ Any applicant recommended for appointment who is a current or previous public sector employee is required to disclose previous serious disciplinary action taken against them. If recommended for appointment the Panel Chair will contact the applicant further to discuss this requirement.

▪ All newly-appointed public service employees are obliged to provide their chief executive a disclosure of employment as a lobbyist in the previous two years.

▪ All newly appointed public service employees who have been employed as a lobbyist in the previous two years are required to provide a disclosure to the Director-General within one month of commencement in accordance with Disclosure of Previous Employment as a Lobbyist Policy.

▪ This position may be subject to a three month probationary period.

▪ The incumbent may be required to work hours outside the normal hours.

▪ Interstate and Intrastate travel may be required.
