Typical duties include:

As a Business Development Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of our strategic business partners and customers. Your responsibilities will include working on key accounts and sourcing future opportunities. You will be directly responsible for new revenue growth by selling BOMI International’s courses, certificates and designations to corporations investing in continuing education for property and facility management professionals. The ideal candidate has both a business background with experience selling to Directors, VP’s and C level professionals with authority over education and training, and a sales background that enables them to easily interact with customers, students and affiliates. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.

Your broad responsibilities will include helping to define and execute against the partner program for a US region, establishing business relationships, and close business.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Able to consistently exceed quota and key performance metrics.

• Experience engaging and influencing senior executives and strong familiarity with decision making processes in employee training.

• Experience working with partners through account management, product management, program management and business development engagements.

• Prior direct sales experience.

• Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.

• Demonstrated experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams.

• Knowledge of membership organizations, chapters, and federations.

Level of Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience in sales or business development.

• Selling higher education, trade or continuing education products.

• Regional territory experience.

• Property and facilities management experience is a plus.

• Experience using Salesforce is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

- May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.

- May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment and resources to include but not limited to pens, pencils, calculators, computers, keyboards, telephone, printers, etc.
