King Of My Heart

I Samuel March 30 - April 1, 2018

Dale Naden is home following a successful surgery to remove the plate in his throat. Clarence Garman has been ill. Margaret Merritt, Jane Murray's mother, had surgery. Jeanie Fiest, Vicki Reagan's mother, is on hospice care. Barbara Parker, sister-in-law of Nancy Richardson, had hip surgery. Remember Ken Cope, Carolyn Ryan, Sylvia Garman, Jana Swaffar, Rachel Pyron, and Bruce Bowers as they deal with ongoing health issues. Pray for our homebound, our widows and live-alones, those on our sick list and for all our brothers and sisters.

LTC will meet today after church and lunch will be provided by the Rigsby family. We will work on the following events: Bible Bowl, Choir, Art and Video Bible Drama. We want to thank the Parents, Coaches and Children for all your hard work in growing the Kingdom of the Lord.

You are invited to our party celebrating the adoption of

Cairo. The party is this afternoon at 3 pm at the church

building.

Dear Parent(s), There are a few changes to Kids Konnection beginning January 2018. We are asking you to help us out! We are starting our Bible Buster Program to encourage the kids to dig deeper into God's word. Your children will memorize scripture, learn the books of the Bible, learn how to locate book, chapter, and verse while studying, and will be encouraged to bring their bibles to each class. By participating in the program, kids will earn incentives for completing these tasks. Each week your child will be given a memory verse and we ask that you work with and encourage them as they grow spiritually. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Our Baby Dedication Ceremony for babies born during the year will be January 28th. If your baby was born in 2017, we need you to give us the following: your baby's full name and date of birth, the parents' names, grandparents' names, a quote stating something special about your baby (cute actions or things he/she does or says, etc.). Also, we need pictures of your baby from birth to present age. Submit only four or five pictures please. Pictures and info can be emailed to Bob Hess at bob@ or you can give him photos to scan. Info must be turned in by Sunday, January 21st.

Discount Cards

Neosho Christian School is selling discount cards to raise funds for the coming school year. Cards are $10 each and can be used every day during 2018. Businesses honoring the discount cards are Maria's Mexican Restaurant, Agape Books & Gifts, Casey's, Denny's, KFC, El Caballo De Oro, Spee Dee Lube, Subway, Burger King, Mazzio's, Quiznos, and Long John Silvers. Area Wide Youth Gathering - Tonight - 4 to 9 pm at Mt. Comfort Church of Christ

Christeens Youth Rally - February 23-25. Cost is $45. Registration is due by January 28.

Basic Training is a new program for ages 9-12. Together, we will learn why it's important to worship Jesus and how we can worship Him, not only on Sunday, but every day of our lives. Because of the focus, this time is being called Basic Training. We value your prayers as we continue to minister to children of all ages during our Sunday morning services! Basic Training will meet again January 21st.

Congratulations to Jerry and Diane Haught on the birth of a great-granddaughter. Layla Renee Henderson was born January 4th. She weighed 7 lb 6 oz and was 19 inches long. Parents are Kennard and Jennifer Henderson and grandparents are Jim and Sherry Guidry.
