God’s purpose in granting us freedom is to use it to show forth His glory in our entire existence. (Some Founders, such as Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and Benjamin Franklin, referred to America as the New Je- rusalem and the New Israel. By that they meant not a Jewish nation but rather a God-centered society whose will was to reflect heaven on earth. In that way, our pur- suit of happiness would be permanently and abundantly fulfilled.)Public Relations is looking forward to sharing with our community the wonderful events the hard- working committees are hosting! To do this we need information well before an event. To help we created a form that is on the bulletin boards, in the bar and it can be emailed to anyone.*ANY FORMAT WITH THIS INFORMATION WILL WORK*.The form shows you what information we need. For ease on the committees it does not need to be this exact form, if the committee would prefer to give me a flyer they have, email me or drop the information in the mailbox that would be greatly appreciated!Any questions or concerns please contact me. Thanks,Lou GambaAs always, thanks to all who have donated coupons, we send a batch each month to our Military Families overseas, thanks to all who support our 1st Wednesday of the month dinners and thanks to all faithful bingo players who support our bingo ticket sales. We could not do what we do without your support.Ongoing projects:*Collecting sample size toiletries, books, batteries, CD’s, DVD’s and all occasion greeting cards for Vineland and the troops and The Mission of Honor donations. . Also, we are still collecting manufac- turer’s coupons to send to our enlisted families over- seas. They can be 1 – 2 months past date when we send them. If you could take a few minutes, cut them out and divide them between food (anything you swallow, meds, etc.) and non food it would be a great help.Fraternally, Jim SharpePage 6 THE CHRONICLEMEMBERSHIP RETENTION COMMITTEEBE PROUD TO BE AN ELKChairperson: Jack Becker, PER, Committee Members: Rosemary Becker, Ellen Weckenbrock, Lou Gamba, Pete DeLucia, Rozanne Harkins, Heather CheesmanIn January, we had 11 members installed.
