The Graduated Family and Parenting OfferFollowing the announcement that the Troubled Families programme would continue to be funded for 2020-21, the Family Service has introduced some transformative changes to its services to better support children, families and practitioners. These changes include the launch of a new Graduated Family and Parenting Offer (GFPO), developed to improve the service offer by adding a range of newly developed interventions. The Graduated Family and Parenting Offer will help us to: Simplify the offer (where possible)Simplify the process for requesting Family and Parenting InterventionsReduce the number of workers going into a family at the same time,Have a more flexible and accessible offer for families including those at Level 2 of the P2P Ensure Intervention offered is proportionate to the needs identified and are more timelyReferrals to the Graduated Family and Parenting Offer will be made under one of the following main presenting needs:Improving Family FunctioningParenting of children and young people exhibiting risk taking behavioursReducing violence and conflict within the home between child and parentImproving practical routines and boundariesParenting a child/young person with autism spectrum disorder and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity DisorderTo meet these need the Graduated Offer is delivered through:Drop In ClinicsParenting WorkshopsParenting Group Programmes1-1 Parenting Specialist AssessmentsIntensive Family SupportFamily Group Conference1-1 Interventions for C&YPSome new Interventions include:Triple P Parenting (Workshops)EPEC – Being a ParentLego Based TheraplaySolution Focused Family MeetingUnderstanding and Parenting Teenagers workshopAdoption Support Fund1-1 Interventions for children and young people include:Promoting Positive BehaviourIncreasing Emotional Well-being and ResilienceCSE/Sexualised Behaviour/Online SafetyFor further information, how to refer and exclusion criteria see the Family Service intranet page.
