How to repair profile
1. Restart computer.
2. Login as admin or with admin access.
3. Navigate to C:\Users folder.
4. Rename the particular user profile to something like Username.old
5. Open the Start menu(Run field or the Search programs and files field
6. Enter in regedit and press [enter], and the registry editor will open.
7. Navigate to the following registry key : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
8. Under ProfileList navigate to binary key’s like this : S-1-5-21-3656904587-1668747452-4095529-500
9. On the right side under ProfileImagePath you’ll see the username and profile path.
10. Chose the one with the desired user and delete the long reg key like: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
11. Have user login into the computer, a new user profile will be created.
12. Log back into computer as admin.
13. Navigate to c:\Users\Username.old
14. Copy folders like Favorites, Desktop, My Documents, My Music, My Pictures, My Videos to C:\Users\Username (the new profile).
15. Have user log back in, now all their data should be available for use in the new profile.
