INTERFACE STANDARDS USED

The interface is arranged using menus and patient lists. Through out the interface several standards are used:

LOGO--will always return you to the main menu.

POP-UP WINDOWS--a second browser window used to display information: ? Patient Initials--when clicked on will display the patient details ? Physician Name--when clicked on will display the physician's address associated with the patient ? Pharmacy Name--when clicked on will display the pharmacy details ? Pharmacist Name--when clicked on will display the pharmacist details

This user's manual covers functionality that physicians, pharmacists and their proxies can perform. All healthcare providers have the same access although slight differences occur and will be noted in document.

LOGON TO THE GENCAN WEB-BASED SYSTEM

1. Type the GenCANTM website address: . 2. Enter your Username and Password into the fields provided and

click Submit to enter the secured website.

MAIN PATIENT LIST

The search mechanism operates the same whenever displayed.

Choose Group

1. To display patients in a group, Choose Group and click Use Group.

2. To display patients in a specific lab, select the laboratory using the `drop down arrow' and click Use Lab.

3. To display patients with a specific last initial, Enter the Last Initial and click Submit.

4. To display patients with a match a specific first name, Enter the First Name (FULL OR PARTIAL) and click Submit.

5. To display patients that match a specific GenCan Number, Enter the GenCAN Number (FULL OR PARTIAL) and click Submit.

6. To display patients with a specific date of birth, Enter the Date of Birth and click Submit.

7. To display all patients, click Show All.

8. To exit out of groups or labs and search by another mechanism, click on Clear.

The patient that matches the last initial or GenCAN Number or Date of Birth will be displayed. If there is more than one patient, then those patients who match the entered data will be displayed.

This is a list of YOUR patients only.

Click on underline headings to sort list

Click to display physician details Click to display patient details in pop-up

* The underlined titles of the columns allow you to sort the information by Location, Initials or Patient Status in alphabetical order by clicking on the desired title. You can also sort columns by Next Expected Test Date.

1. To display the treatment center information, click on the Location Name.

2. To display patient's current information, click on the Patient's Name or Initials.

Click on Location name to view facility details. The location listed is the facility where the patient is receiving treatment.

MAIN PATIENT LIST

Most recent WBC value was YELLOW Most recent ANC value was RED

The GenCAN patient list provides quick identification of those patients who may need increased attention or for whom an additional action may be considered.

The `checkmark' denotes that the patient is late for their next hematological test. By clicking on the above the patient list, a summary definition of "Late" is displayed.

The 'plus sign' denotes that the patient may be eligible for every-two-week monitoring. By clicking on the above the patient list, a summary definition of "Eligible Monitoring Status" is displayed.
