Job Description

Title: Card Services Representative

Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Card Services Manager

Position Purpose:

Answer general card inquiries regarding credit and debit card accounts. Perform card maintenance on all facets of the card programs.

Essential Duties:

1. Respond to general member/telephone inquiries regarding credit and debit card accounts.

2. Perform card maintenance using PSCU/EVOLVE and STAR and CARDS ON THE SPOT (i.e., ordering cards, payment adjustments, cash advances, updating addresses, working lost/stolen accounts, closing accounts, revoking cards, adding/deleting joint owners, adding/deleting authorized users, credit limit increases, placing memos and flags on accounts, etc.).

3. Process HELOC/Fixed Mortgage Payoffs

4. Process CARD ORDER requests through Resource One.

5. Process member Fraud/Disputes

6. Process charge backs, fraud claims and closeout packets through STAR/TIMS/CUNA/MEMBER CONNECT

7. Process monetary adjustments (i.e., balance transfers, balance consolidations, interest adjustments, fee refunds, etc.).

8. Process accounting exceptions and settlement reports.

9. Manage compromises according to size (i.e., update CUNA, letter mail merge and monitor compromise activity by keeping track of fraud amounts).

10. Work daily and monthly reports on STAR/PSCU folder and PSCU/IDP.

11. Act as liaison with PSCU representing CU Denver.

12. Monthly balancing of general ledger entries.

13. Assist the Call Center by logging into queue when experiencing staff shortage or high volume.

14. Responsible for compliance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA), the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Anti-Money Laundering Act, including monitoring for any illegal activity as it applies to this position.

Other Duties:

1. Recommend policy and procedural changes in order to maintain efficient operations.

2. Cross sell credit union products.

3. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

|Education: |A high school education or equivalent. |

|Work experience: |One year to three years of similar or related experience preferred. Experience with online data processing |

| |preferred. Previous credit union experience desired. |

|Knowledge: |Basic knowledge of credit union products and services in order to assist |

| |members. Knowledge of office equipment required. |

|Skills and mental abilities: (with|Good oral and written communication skills. Legible handwriting. Tact and diplomacy, able to maintain |

|or without accommodation) |confidentiality and analytical ability required. Possess initiative to resolve problems with good judgment.|

|Material and equipment used: |PC, telephone/voice mail system, typewriter, fax machine, ten-key calculator. |

| |Windows Word, E-mail products, copier and printers, website and FDR |

| |(PSCU). |

|Work environment: |Office environment. |

|Physical activity and abilities: |Requires manual coordination and vision to operate PC, typewriter and |

|(with or without accommodation) |calculator. Hearing necessary to receive and reply to member inquiries. Ability to |

| |speak clearly in order to communicate with members and employees in person |

| |and on the telephone. Must be able to work in a sitting position for long periods |

| |of time. Some bending, stooping, reaching and lifting (up to 10 pounds) is |

| |required. Ability to frequently move to various locations within the building. |
