This job aid will take you through the steps to access the My Calendar widget which will enable you to request PTO. Using the widget, you will be able to request time off up to one year in advance of the current pay period.

1. Accessing the My Calendar Widget

Click the + tab and select My Information.

Click the My Calendar widget in the right-hand window.

2. Requesting Time Off for Yourself

The tool bar has icons that will change your schedule view from daily through monthly. To start a PTO request, click the Request Time Off Icon

Use the calendar tool to enter the start and end dates of your request. Select the correct pay code. Choose Full Day to replace your full scheduled day or use Hours (for a half day) and enter the start time and 4 hours you will be off. If no schedule that day use Hours.

Review your request to ensure that it is accurate and then click the submit button.

Once submitted, you will receive a message indicating your request is pending approval or auto approved, depending on your cost center type.

3. Viewing Your Requested Time Off

Use the schedule to view your upcoming PTO. Use the tool bar icons to zoom in or expand your schedule view.

In this example, we have requested a day off in the next Pay Period, so we need to change the pay period in the drop-down list to view our PTO.

Our PTO request is indicated with a green icon. Hovering will show the basic request info

Double click the PTO icon to reveal the details of your request.

4. Cancelling a Request

Navigate to the Time Off that you wish to cancel and RIGHT CLICK on the Time Off Request box. Select Cancel Request from the drop menu that appears.

The Requested details box will open, click the Cancel Request button located at the bottom of the box.
