California Emergency Nurses Association2019 Scholarship AwardsCalifornia ENA awards two scholarships annually, the Daniel Kelleher Scholarship and the Terri Sturgill Entry Level Nursing Scholarship. This year, the deadline to apply for these scholarships is September 15, 2019. Applications must be submitted electronically to the State Council Secretary Shelbie Rogers at shelbie.ena@. The applications will be reviewed and scholarships awarded during the November State Council meeting in Palm Spring. The Daniel Kelleher Scholarship is awarded in the amount of $1000 to a qualified applicant who is seeking to further their nursing education to a baccalaureate degree or higher. This scholarship may be divided between 2 or more qualified applicants at the discretion of the State Council Board of Directors. The written application must include:Resume or Curriculum VitaeLetter of intent, written by the applicant, to includeHow the profession of emergency nursing will benefit from further education.Involvement in ENA, including all offices or appointed positions held within the organization.Proof of active enrollment to a BSN or higher level nursing program: PDF recommended, screenshots discouraged. The Terri Sturgill Entry Level Scholarship is awarded in the amount of $500 to a qualified individual who has been accepted to an entry-level registered nursing program. The scholarship also includes a one-year affiliate membership in the Emergency Nurses Association. This scholarship may be divided between 2 qualified applicants at the discretion of the State Council Board of Directors. The written application must include:Resume or Curriculum VitaeLetter of intent written by the applicant, to include:How nursing will benefit from your entry into the nursing profession.How the community will benefit from your nursing education.Photocopy or other proof of enrollment or acceptance to an entry-level nursing program; PDF recommended, screenshots discouraged. *Awards may be divided between two or more qualified applicants at the discretion of the State Council Board of Directors. ................
