Complete a minimum of 2 in home visits with families to collect information from families and to share information with the family regarding their child’s development, experiences in the center, as well as provide family with support they need to ensure their child’s success in Kindergarten. Ensures Center Teachers complete the plete 2 parent-teacher conferences to discuss individual children’s skill levels in all the key areas of child development.Ensure the overall teaching and supervision of developmentally appropriate activities by ensuring that all classroom activities are aligned with the PA Early Learning Standards and support Head Start Performance Standards and Keystone STARS standards. Ensures Center Teachers complete the same.Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment in the center. And work with other staff to keep the center clean and organized and materials are regularly rotated.Promotes physical and intellectual competence in children.Build positive self-concept and individual strength in children and adults in a group in a learning anize and sustain the positive functioning of children and adults in a learning environment that fosters learning throughout the daily routine.Attend field trips and center special events in cooperation with local center committee. FSW and other teaching staff.Carry out supplementary responsibilities related to the children's program. Conduct staff meetings with classroom and center staff members. Participate in staff decisions and work with the other staff members in a team effort to help each child in their individual development.Maintain or delegate maintenance of all records and reports needed for center activities on program data base.Continue to gain knowledge of latest methods of early childhood development. Attend orientation, in-services, and any other meetings scheduled by the Central office.Maintain on-going observations and assessments on each child using the curriculum data base to plan for the classroom and each child’s individual needs. Ensures Center Teachers complete the same. Any and all other duties as assigned by the Area Manager.Submits lesson plans for the classroom based on child assessment data, individual child goals, IEP’s to the Area Manager and Education Coordinator for input. Ensures Center Teachers complete the same.Work with the FSW to ensure parent meetings, transportation, recruitment efforts, special event planning or other areas as requested are carried out by assigned staff and looked at as entire staff activities.Assist with taking applications and ensuring there are sufficient applications to fill the center and maintain a waiting list in conjunction with the FSW.Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, in regard to accessing Protected Health Information, according to the Table of Access contained in the HIPAA Policy and Procedure Manual. Employee’s access of information is on a “need to know” basis.Maintains contact with building lessee’s to address scheduling of building use or resolve building issues or concerns.Makes every effort to develop a positive relationship with the School District in their area to enhance transition to kindergarten activities for families and children.Works to ensure that all centers/classrooms work together as a team to provide quality services to children by offering staff time and support to other classroom units or as assigned by the Area Manager.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR SKILLSBachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or related Bachelor Degree with 30 Early Childhood Credits.
