Good Afternoon, Papermakers, The first day of the 2019/20 school year is right around the corner. I hope that you all have enjoyed a restful summer break.

Student Schedules

In an effort to best serve our students, classes with higher than average sizes will be balanced prior to the start of school. All students should check Skyward on the morning of September 3rd to ensure they attend the most current schedule. Although this may feel like an inconvenience, please know that we are committed to creating the best learning environments for our students by adjusting schedules where needed.

School Pictures

Friday, September 13th ? 8:45am-2:00pm Make-up picture day for students who didn't have their pictures taken on kick-off days in August.

Monday, October 14th ? 8:45am-2:00pm Picture retakes

*Running Start students are welcome to come have their pictures taken anytime on September 13th.

ASB Hours

Wednesday, August 28th: 8am ? 12pm, closed for a meeting from 12:30pm ? 2pm, re-open from 2pm ? 3pm

Thursday, August 29th: 8am ? 12:30pm

Friday, August 30th: 8am ? 3pm

Fees & Fines

Fees and Fines are not posted in Skyward ? they are now located in InTouch and can be paid in InTouch as well. Please use the following directions to pay fees and fines. Visit the Online Payment site here Please note: the username needs to be

the Skyward Family Access ID ? should you not remember your password you can choose the option to reset your password and it will not affect your Skyward password. Once logged in ? it will ask you "Who are you shopping for" ? select your child's name, then item at your students school > DISTRICT > High Schools > Camas High School. Should they have a fine it will appear once logged in

Reminder: Fees and fines cannot be paid with a debit or credit card in person at CHS on kickoff days. Please make all checks payable to Camas High School.

ASB only accepts cash or check ONLY. Thank you for your understanding.

Bus Information You will receive your student's bus route information directly from Camas School District Transportation Department. If you have any questions concerning bus information please contact transportation directly at (360) 833-5585.

PARKING NEWS

Parking registration will be open to all licensed & insured 10th-12th graders beginning August 26th.

Applications are accepted via an electronic form here:

Students may pay for and pick up passes at the ASB office staring August 28th. Cost: $45 (check or cash only)

Lunch Schedules

Lunch schedules will be based on students' 4th period teacher. Assigned lunches will be posted around campus on the first day of school so that students know which lunch to attend. Students with A lunch attend lunch then 4th period. Students with B lunch attend 4th period first and then go to lunch.

SAT/PSAT Prep Course

Doorway to college will be offering a one day SAT/PSAT prep course held at CHS on September 21st from 9:00am ? 3:00pm.

The cost of this workshop is $95. For more information and registration please see the attached flyer or go to:

The seminar will include:

- Explanations of common question types and how to approach them

- Study materials for your student to keep, including a comprehensive study guide and practice tests for each subject. They will be given online access to these materials as well. - Subject review and strategies for every question type in each section of the test - A customized study plan
