DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO APPLY FOR A WORKING HOLIDAY VISA

(D visa ( 91 to 365 DAYS)

1) Your completed Working Holiday Visa application form

2) Recent passport size picture (3.5 x 4.0 cm): white background, full face and front view. Scanned or photocopied photos will NOT be accepted;

3) Passport and a photocopy of its main pages, as well as of any other pages with visa stickers and Airport Authorities’ stamps;

NOTE: your passport must be valid at least for 90 days beyond the expiry date of the visa, and must have at least 2 blank pages;

4) Your Driver’s License (Photocopy) or any other proof of residency valid as proof of residence in the jurisdiction of this Consulate (Quebec, New Foundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, Nunavut);

5) A curriculum vitae (résumé)

6) Proof of financial resources, not less than 200 Euro for each month (2400 Euro in total or the equivalent in Canadian Currency):

- bank statement for the last three months OR

- travelers cheques in the applicant’s name OR

- a credit card in the applicant’s name with a sufficient credit limit to cover all costs.

6) Proof of medical travel insurance (minimum coverage required is 30.000 Euro = CAD 50.000) Please provide insurance documentation in which is clearly specified your name, time period and maximum amount of coverage for medical emergencies, hospitalization and repatriation;

7) Confirmed flight reservation showing complete itinerary;

8) A letter where the applicant confirms that the reason for the visit is an extended holiday, with the opportunity of having a temporary job to earn extra money. The applicant must declare also that she/he will purchase, upon arrival in the host country, liability insurance coverage and/or extra insurance against workplace injury, if applicable. The applicant must declare also that she/he will pay the required tax if employed during the holiday. Furthermore she/he declares that they have no pending criminal investigations/charges and that they have no past criminal record.

9) Return envelope: If you prefer to have your Passport with the visa mailed to you, please provide a Pre-paid self addressed Express Post envelope (available at Canada Post offices).

10) Visa fee (non refundable) in the form of cash or Money Order, payable in Canadian Dollars to the Consulate General of Italy in Montreal, with applicant’s name and address as the remitter. Personal Checks will not be accepted;

National Visa applicants are not required to give fingerprints. Therefore they can apply by mail. However they must refer to our Consular Representative in the Province of Residence to get the authentication of their signature on the application form.
