? Canadian Universities now have scholarships ? Provincial sections offer significant funding to university swimmers ? Substantial Academic Grants and Bursaries ? Every Olympic Medalist for Canada in an individual event for the past 30 years has

been training 100% in Canada

? In Canadian Universities the athlete is permitted five years of eligibility opposed to

four in the USA

? Transferring (USA to Canada or vise versa) ? Canadian Universities have flexible regulations for major Int'l competitions/ as well as

academic accommodations

? Tuition in Canada is highly subsidized by Federal/Provincial Governments- therefore

much less expensive tuitition

What is your coach's historical attitude towards full time academic load? ? Will you have the freedom to pick your own course load and timetable? ? How many swimmers have transferred out of the program? ? What happens if my schedule does not permit me to make all the workouts? ? How big is the city compared to the one you live in now? ? Will I miss holidays/Christmas at home-- ? What happens if I don't get along with the coach- what happens to my education
