The work will also involve new HVAC infrastructure more specifically; one new cooling tower adjacent to exterior site/loading dock with one new pump, one new chiller with two pumps located in the existing 1st floor mechanical room, one new Boiler and pump located in the existing 4th floor Mechanical Room, and five rooftop exhaust fans.The overall project will be phased into three phases. The 1st Phase will be the HVAC infrastructure on site and roof, the 2nd Phase will be the interior work on the 3rd Floor and the 3rd Phase will be the renovation work on the 4th floor. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTSSECTION 2 - BackgroundThe Moffitt Cancer Center is a research-oriented specialty cancer center with full service outpatient and inpatient facilities, as well as research facilities. The Moffitt Cancer Center seeks submission from qualified CONSTRUCTION MANAGERs to provide Construction Services. Location of work: Moffitt McKinley Campus, M2Gen Building, Floors 3 and 4 including site work, 10902 McKinley Drive, Tampa, FL.Term of Agreement: The term of an awarded contract is for the duration of the project through completion of all punch lists, issuance of as-built drawings and close out documents. This will also include any period(s) of time that contractual bind the General Contractor/Construction Manager, such as warranty periods. Services: Scheduling, coordination, and management of all subcontractors and construction activities. Coordination and management of all infection control measures, utility shutdowns, facility impacts, and associated reporting. Coordination of Owner direct materials and/or contracted services with Owner’s representation and/or project management. Project reporting to the Owner of specific project analytics throughout the duration of the project.SECTION 3 –Qualification Requirements To be considered for award of a contract, the CONSTRUCTION MANAGER submitting for consideration shall have been regularly engaged in Construction Management for a minimum of three (3) years immediately prior to the submission date.This contract will be awarded only to responsible Construction Management firms qualified by experience to provide the work specified. The CONSTRUCTION MANAGER must submit the following information in its Materials: Name and address of the entity, indicate type of business (i.e. individual, partnership, corporation, other). The CONSTRUCTION MANAGER shall have a Florida office. Associations or Joint Ventures will not be considered. The length of time the Construction Manager has experience in the Construction Management project delivery method.The CONSTRUCTION MANAGER’s experience and performance related to hospital/clinical/research facilities projects greater than $5 million in total project costs. Include a brief description of the project(s).Proof of current Florida State or local licensure from the appropriate licensing agencies. The CONSTRUCTION MANAGER must be properly registered (Class “A” General Contractor) to practice their profession in the State of Florida. Moffitt Cancer Center shall retain all common law, statutory and other reserved rights, including any copyright. All such insurance shall be provided by responsible companies with A.M. Best ratings of A-, authorized to transact business in the State of Florida, and which are satisfactory to the Moffitt Cancer Center. Promptly after Moffitt Cancer Center’s issuance of the Notice of Award of this Agreement, and prior to commencing work, CONSTRUCTION MANAGER shall provide evidence of insurance coverage of the types of in the amounts required by submitting executed Certificates of Insurance, in the form preferred by Moffitt Cancer Center. Each Certificate shall set forth the original manual signature of the authorized representative of the insurance company/companies identified therein and shall have attached thereto proof that said representative is authorized to execute the same. In addition, certified true and exact copies of all required policies shall be provided to the Moffitt Cancer Center upon request.2.All policies of insurance required shall require that the insurer give the Moffitt Cancer Center thirty (30) days written notice of any cancellation, intent not to renew, or reduction in coverage; and the ten (10) days written notice of any non-payment of premium. Should the CONSTRUCTION MANAGER have any questions concerning its exposures to loss under the Contract Documents or the insurance coverage needed therefore, it should seek professional assistance.7.If the insurance coverage initially provided by the CONSTRUCTION MANAGER is to expire prior to completion of the work, renewal Certificates of Insurance shall be furnished to the Moffitt Cancer Center thirty (30) days prior to expiration of current coverage.8.Should the CONSTRUCTION MANAGER fail to maintain the insurance coverage required by the Contract Documents, the Moffitt Cancer Center may, at its option, either terminate this Agreement for default or procure any pay for such coverage, charge the CONSTRUCTION MANAGER, and deduct the costs from payments due the CONSTRUCTION MANAGER. A decision by the Moffitt Cancer Center to procure and pay for such insurance coverage shall not operate as a waiver of any of its rights under the Contract Documents.9.All liability insurance policies obtained by the CONSTRUCTION MANAGER to meet the requirements of the Contract Documents, other than the Worker’s Compensation and Employer’s Liability Policy, shall provide that the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute Inc., its subsidiaries and their officers, employees, agents, volunteers, affiliates and assignees (and potentially others), shall be named as “additional insureds” under the Policy and shall also incorporate a Severability of Interest provision. Certificates of Insurance evidencing the insurance coverage specified in paragraphs 10.a through 10.d inclusive, shall be filed with the Purchasing Department within ten (10) days after issuance of Notice of Award and before start of any work.
