Many of those artists still in town on Saturday evening met at the Old Town Tortilla Factory for a fun evening of tasty food and camaraderie in the outdoor setting of one of Scottsdale's most enchanting restaurants.

MEET THE ASSOCIATE & SIGNATURE GOLD MEDAL WINNER QIUZHEN WEI OPA
Qiuzhen Wei OPA was born in China and grew up in Guangzhou City. She received her B.A from the Department of Arts of Light Industry at the University of Wuxi, China. She has exhibited her works in Asia, Europe, and the United States and currently resides in El Cerrito, California.

Long active as both artist and teacher, Qiuzhen served as a professor of painting and design at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and as an art teacher in Albany and Oakland. She is known for her diversity of subject matter, showing her proficiency in painting animals, figurative, floral, landscapes and portraits.
Her most recent accomplishments include being a finalist in the "Outside the Box" category at the 2016 Portrait Society of America Members Only Competition and receiving the Gold Medal in the Associate & Signature Division at the Oil Painters of America 2016 Western Regional Exhibition. Her works have been featured in publications in both China and the U.S.
