Most parking areas downtown are Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm (except city holidays). Signs are posted at the beginning of each block or lot entrance with time limits. Time is limited to ensure a steady turnover of spaces to meet the needs of nearby retailers and commercial businesses.

ALL DAY FREE PARKING LOCATIONS ONSTREET

100 block of Maiden Ln. - (Memorial Bridge enter off of Green Street). 400 block of Maiden Ln.-Located between Ray Ave. and Amtrak train station. (Behind the AIT building and the Prince Charles Hotel)

*Cumberland county provides free parking in the lots located next to the county courthouse at the intersection of Gillespie St. and Otis Jones St. and the lot located beside the Headquarters library on Maiden Lane.

Time begins upon first arrival, and runs continuous throughout the day for each block. If you leave and return, please keep in mind that your time is calculated beginning the first time you parked on each block.

3-HOUR FREE PARKING LOCATIONS ONSTREET

Anderson St., Old St., Donaldson St., Maxwell St., Franklin St., and Bow St. are limited to 3-hour parking per day.

2-HOUR FREE PARKING LOCATIONS ONSTREET

Hay St., Green St., Gillespie St., Person St., Mason St., Maiden Ln., Amtrak Lot and Ray Ave. are limited to 2- hour parking per day.

City Plaza 1 & 2- Located on the 400 block of Franklin St. behind City Hall and the Fayetteville Police Department are 2-hour free parking lots.

HOURLY/DAILY PAY LOTS *Pay at pay station upon arrival. $.50 hr./$4day.

Bow Common Lot- Located at the corner of Green St and Bow St behind Fascinate U Museum.

Library Lot- Located at the corners of Burgess St., Maiden Ln. and Ray Ave. across the street from the Cumberland County Library.

R.C.W. Lot 1 - Located on the 200 block of Franklin Street behind the RC Williams Building (201 Hay Street).

Donaldson Pay Lot- Located on Donaldson Street between Franklin St. and Russell St.

Anderson Lot- Located at Anderson and Old St.

Franklin Street Parking Deck ? Located at 208 Franklin St. *pay upon exit

OFF-STREET PARKING LOTS *No parking in posted reserved or permit only spaces without a permit.

MONTHLY LEASE PARKING Contact Fayetteville Parking Service to lease parking. $50 per month per space. Downtown employees are encouraged to lease parking to allow customers convenient parking

ILLEGAL PARKING When parking please be sure to look closely for signage. That includes looking for lines on the road, or curb. Designated Spaces On streets or in off-street lots that have lines designating spaces, vehicles must park with-in the lines. If you can't fit in a space because another car is parked over the line, you

must pass up the space. Vehicles that are not parked entirely with-in the space will receive a citation.

Loading Zones Loading Zone areas are posted, and allow for 20-minute loading only. Vehicles requiring more time must call Fayetteville Parking service before exceeding the 20-minute limit. Left-side to curb on two-way streets, vehicles must park on the correct side of the road. Vehicles must be parked with the flow of traffic. Back-side to curb Vehicles must park facing forward when parking in diagonal parking spaces on the street. Vehicles are allowed 20 minutes to park back to curb if loading or unloading but they must have their flashing hazard lights on. Reserved Parking/Lease Parking Only Only authorized vehicles displaying a proper permit are authorized to park where it is posted as reserved or leased parking only. Check for signs at the space you are parked, the lot entrance, or at the ends of the row at which you parked. Permit Parking Only Signs are posted either at the lot entrance. Winslow permit only parking lot located at the corner of Winslow St. and Franklin St. A proper permit must be displayed to park in these locations. No Parking No parking zones are noted either by signage or lines on the road. Fire-hydrant Vehicles may not park with-in 15 feet of a fire hydrant at any time. Cross Walk Vehicles are not allowed to park within a pedestrian cross walk. Driveways Vehicles may not park in, or block a drive way. Sidewalks Vehicles including motor cycles are not allowed to park on any sidewalk at any time, unless a permit allowing it is obtained in advance. Handicap Parking Vehicles must display a valid handicap placard or license plate. The registered handicap user is the only one authorized to utilize

handicap parking.
