Introduction

We are excited to introduce a new feature of Car- that will help you locate inconsistencies in your inventory process. At the bottom of your "Car- Statistics and Reports" screen, there is now the Part Grading Inconsistency Report. This report will alert you when you have uploaded a body part with conflicting part grade information.

When you filled out your questionnaire, you told Car- the method you use to inventory your parts and where to look for part grading information. When you upload your inventory, Car- processes this data and grades your parts. If your data indicates that there is zero damage, there is now another check in place to make sure the grade is not an error. If the field you specified in your questionnaire indicates zero damage and another field indicates a certain amount of damage (by the use of objectionable words or damage codes), this part will be left ungraded (also known as Grade X) and added to your Part Grading Inconsistency Report. Using this report, you can view discrepancies and problems in your inventory process so you know which entries need to be fixed. This results in less confusion and fewer errors when others perform a search of your inventory online.

When you filled out your questionnaire, you also indicated which codes you use to mark parts as aftermarket. When you upload your inventory, Car- checks your part descriptions for common codes or phrases that may be indicative of an aftermarket part. If one of these codes is found in the description of a part that was not marked as an aftermarket according to the standards you gave us, this will appear on your report.

The Part Grading Inconsistency Report will also reflect Grade X parts (ungraded parts); these are parts that did not contain damage information. You can use this list to pinpoint which part descriptions and damage codes need to be updated in your inventory. This user guide will explain how to read and understand the Part Grading Inconsistency Report; if you have any questions not answered here, do not hesitate to contact your Car- support representative.

Step Two ? Damage Inconsistencies

Section A ? ARA Damage Code On the main "Car- Part Grading Inconsistency Report" screen, you can see your inventory problems categorized. The first group of problems, the Damage Inconsistencies, occurs when the damage information found in your data is inconsistent with the questionnaire you filled out. For example, suppose that you have ARA Damage Code damage inconsistencies (this is the first sub-group of the Damage Inconsistencies group). You can click on "ARA Damage Code" to view the specific problems.

Here is an example of the data you may find on the "ARA Damage Code" screen:

The second row will tell you what kind of problem(s) is present in the data:

In this example, there is an inconsistency between the condition of the part and the damage code. First, here is the information actually entered by the recycler. The first four columns indicate the information the recycler has in the inventory management system:
