Inagural Cannonball Phoenix Spree To Hit The Pavement Road Rally Spoof Gets People Excited!

Phoenix, AZ. April 30-May 1 -- Stephanie Finnegan of Elite Car Cruising Organization has founded an event to bring together the excitement of cars. It's called the Cannonball Phoenix Spree!

Dec. 5, 2009 - PRLog -- The idea of an adventurous rally always appealed to Finnegan. "I really wanted to put together a fun-hearted rally where all kinds of participants would be invited, a spoof on the old Cannonball Run movie", says Finnegan. This rally doesn't provide a race, instead it provides a unique scavenger hunt, poker run and trivia contest. "I've always been involved in the classic car business", states Finnegan. When asked about founding ECCO Elite Car Cruising Organization, she replied, "When I was five years old, a polishing cloth and chrome gave me the opportunity to spend time with my family working on my dad's MK V Jaguar, where I grew to become passionate about cars and rallies. After launching a successful consulting company for the last twelve years, I grew tired of office life and decided to pursue my dreams on the road", says Finnegan.

The spree will include a full day of events; scavenger hunt, poker run, trivia contest, people's choice awards, and a variety of big wins, including costume contest and more. Prizes and awards include free weekend getaways, free golf, cash at the Fort McDowell Casino, free giveaways in gas, breakfast and more. "Everyone who finds out that they can participate in a fun version of Cannonball can't wait to sign up; it's going to be a blast!", says Finnegan. She continues, "I am really excited about working with Operation Homefront and giving back to them. One of my partners in the event is married to an active duty Marine and they're getting ready for his sixth deployment. It's a great way to give back to everyone".

Here's how the spree will break down: The journey begins at the Fort McDowell Radisson for a welcome cocktail reception on April 30, 2010. Competitors will enjoy dinner, cash bar, poker tournament, DJ and dancing, as well as an opportunity to mix and mingle with other competitors before the rally begins. The main event starts May 1, where cars start from the Radisson for the wildly fun kick-off event where participants have the opportunity to meet and greet ECCO's Cannonball girls, and get pictures taken with their car. The event ends at the Flagstaff Radisson for a Grand Finale Awards Reception and Dinner that includes cigar bar, live band, photographer, and a variety of vendors to view.
