10-Hour OSHA Construction Training
Why do I need OSHA Construction Training?
Prior to participation on public construction projects, valued at $250,000 and more, contractors are to complete compulsory 10-hour OSHA construction training and receive subsequent certification.
What is OSHA Construction Training?
Congress enacted the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 which created the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Its mission is to help employers and employees reduce on the job injuries, illnesses and deaths.
NTSDOT’s On the Job Training/Supportive Services Program (OJT/SS) is available for women, minorities and income qualified individuals interested in careers in Heavy Highway Construction Trades. Participation in the program does not guarantee job placement.
The OSHA Construction Training will take place over the course of two days, with five hours of classroom instruction each day.
Dates: Thursday, September 6, 2018 (1st Session); Friday, September 7, 2018 (2nd Session)
Time: 8:00AM - 2:00PM
