On Saturday, August 17, St. Vincent de Paul partnered with FC Cincinnati and the Buffalove Foundation—the charitable arm of Buffalo Wings and Rings restaurants—to collect non-perishable food items or cash donations outside of the gates of Nippert Stadium prior to the match against NYC FC. Fans who contributed received a coupon for five free wings at Buffalo Wings and Rings, with a $5 purchase.“This was the first year we partnered with FC Cincinnati and Buffalo Wings and Rings, and we are very happy with the success of the event and extremely grateful for the thoughtful donations from the fans,” says Mike Dunn, Executive Director of St. Vincent de Paul - Cincinnati. “As a result, our pantries will remain stocked through the remainder of the summer months and into the early fall, allowing us to help struggling families across Cincinnati.” “We are thrilled to see the support our fans provided to the St. Vincent de Paul food drive last Saturday,” FC Cincinnati President Jeff Berding adds. “Our club has been built on a foundation of community involvement and using soccer as a platform to better the greater community around us, so we’re so pleased to see our fans pitching in with their personal support.” “The Buffalove Foundation proudly assists many organizations across the U.S. in an effort to fulfill its mission of ending childhood hunger,” says Buffalove Foundation Coordinator Williams Stone. “Giving back to our community by helping an organization provide over 1,200 meals in our hometown is simply fantastic. We could not be more excited with the outcome of our first food drive with FC Cincinnati and St. Vincent de Paul.
