All in favor. Public Speakers: NoneTreasurer report: Amy - Reviewed written report. JR Mirage: Brandon absent. Andy said Brandon is working on tournaments - looking at something different this year. Trying to finalize coaches. Hermantown 12UB and we will host the 12UA and 15UA tournament. Hermantown may need extra ice time during the 12UB tournament (Dec 27). We still need answers about the jerseys - Liz will email Brandon to check in about that. Equipment manager report: Josh - absent. No report. Andy - concern about Bantam jerseys - this may be what we are looking at replacing this year. We need to make sure we look at this sooner than later. Fundraising report: Stacey and Alicia - Golf Tournament: looking at Aug 24, 9-2 ,at Grandview golf course. We would need 60 people (15 teams) to shut the course down. Proposing $240 per team ($60 per person) for 18 holes with cart. We can bring in our own food but all beverages have to be purchased there. Stokke's did not say they would donate but said they could give us a quote. A few businesses have offered to donate (Super one, possibly Hermantown Walmart). Grandview will offer a few prizes (longest drive...). Andy indicated that he felt we could get a better price and is willing to try help negotiate. Discussed changing back to September - may help with rates... discussed looking at Sept 7 and agreed to keep at $75/$300 per team even if we receive a better rate. Could someone (Amy?) look into a potential hole in one prize again? Hoghead: Would like to have a dunk tank and float in the parade this year. Stacey and Alicia will follow up with the Lions club. Apparel: (squad locker wasn't very successful) Discussed selling apparel through concession? at tournaments? or have samples at the rink for people to look at and then order. Liz will talk to Stef at Builders regarding a potential fundraiser and if she would keep something exclusive for us until after Christmas. Outdoor rink report: Justin - discussed potentially sealing rinks with something like a Thompson water seal and doing one rink per year (every year). Discussed whether it is worth sealing or if it doesn't need to be since it's treated wood anyway. Justin would like to put a better grade on the rinks in there. He is looking at some prices for a box blade with a laser and then carries the dirt around and keeps the grade level - if we could do that one time it would likely be easy to maintain once it's established. Discussed maintaining snow removal and zamboni equipment - may need some new bearings and to fix the leak in the water system and some sort of greasing system for the zam. Justin has an idea of an operating plan of how we move the snow and flood but we can discuss this at a future meeting. Discussed possibly looking at taking a first step towards the players boxes (concrete slab or wood foundation). Discussed doing the lines and dots on one outdoor rink (paper lines and dots) this year and see how it goes. Old BusinessGirls Coordinator job description: Ask Desiree to send a bulleted list to start with. Concession/Volunteering - tabled - Discussed taking checks ahead of time ($150) and cashing them if families do not complete hours/shifts. Agreed we needs to have a set policy about how many you need to work or that your team works in order to make this work. Lots of things to consider - need a policy, need to be clear what the expectations are, need to let them know there will be opportunities to make up if they are unable to pick a shift in their week. Would also need to make sure all information is given out to level coordinators and managers - make sure that all parents know that. Concession committee - Amy, Britni, Liz, Stacey, Ann. Liz will schedule a meeting. Registration: We need to make sure that registration includes reminders that parents will be responsible for concession shifts, flooding shifts, and that teams will be assessed for tournament costs. Kris will make sure this is included. We should also make sure we have a new parent section on the website with this information (concession, flooding shifts).Mites vs Learn to Skate: Continue first year registration fee for free. Player Evaluations (end of year)/tryouts follow up): Review by fall New Business Committee Meeting for Levels of play: Kevin, Jay, Neil, Dave, Scott Pionk, Andy - discussed all the levels and what we are looking at for next year. Overall good meeting. Decided to go with 2 Squirt B teams (may need to move up 2 or so Mites to make 2 teams), PWA and PWB (maybe 2 PWB depending on numbers), and Bantam A. Tournament Dates: Are we doing Bantam B tournament again? If so, Bantam A's would not schedule a tournament that weekend so they can help with it - Andy wondered if the Bantam A's could get some kick back towards another tournament - no decision made. Dates are set and have been shared with the group. Neil made a motion to adjourn at 8:14 pm. Stacey second. All in favor. ................
