HOLMES COUNTY CAREER and TECHNICAL CENTER

HCCTC Adult Education Night Classes 2 class meetings each week for 10 weeks This training program does not yield college credits

Introduction to Computer Literacy Students will learn word processing, business letters, basic office skills, basic technology applications and much more through hands-on learning activities.

Residential Wiring (Electricity) Students will learn how to install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.

Auto Body Paint and Refinish Students will learn to properly paint and repair the body and frame of an automobile. Students will be able to bring in instructor-approved personal projects on which to practice the techniques.

Welding Students will learn welding techniques using various processes and machinery, including local industry techniques.

Administrative Office Assistant--Secretarial Training Students will train for entry-level clerical positions by learning office etiquette, customer service, job interviewing, basic accounting practices and more.

Medical Billing and Coding (ICD 10) Students will learn medical billing and codes used in the health insurance industry, billing and reimbursement processes, code categories and coding guidelines. Employment in this field includes medical clinics, insurance companies, home health agencies and more--many positions include a work from home option. Preference will be given to those adult learners who have completed a medical terminology study.

Forklift Training/OSHA 10 (Tentative) Students will learn to operate a forklift according to industry standards in a manufacturing setting.

Microsoft Office Students will increase proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Excel. Student must have basic computer literacy skills profit to enrolling.
