22860002286000FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEDue to the acceleration of the COVID-19 pandemic throughout the United States, our staff at MK Dixon Funeral Home we will be adhering to the CDC’s recommendation made on March 15, 2020, to reduce gatherings, including funerals, to 50 people or less for the next eight weeks. For the last six years we have developed a reputation for being responsible members of the communities we serve and must do our part to help stop the spread of COVID-19. We understand how difficult the COVID-19 situation is for all, especially those who are grieving during this time. We will continue to conduct regular business and hold services, operating with the following health and safety measures in place:Arrangements Conference- Five (5) persons or less (one of whom must be the legal next-of-kin)Quiet Time- Ten (10) persons or lessVisitations- Walk through only (we ask that you do not congregate in the chapel)Funeral Services- Private services only (50 persons or less) - Graveside Services (open to the public, however we recommend that you practice social distancing, maintaining at least a six feet distance from any individuals)- As a courtesy, we are offering families the option to have services streamed live on our Facebook page, Condolences may be sent to the family from the comfort of your home by visiting our website, MK Dixon will follow increased infection prevention and control precautions, per CDC/OSHA guidelines. While cleanliness is always a top priority us, we have increased our public and workspace sanitation schedules and frequency.We ask all families and individuals to assess their own health before visiting our facilities or attending a funeral.Our staff is to follow the public health authorities’ guidance regarding hygiene and personal care and will follow social distancing recommendations.There is nothing we care about more than your safety and well-being.
