Dear Office of AIDS Stakeholders,

Over the past several months, the Office of AIDS (OA) and the California HIV Planning Group (CPG) have been rolling out the new OA Advisory Network at .

We would love for you and all of your clients, friends and colleagues to join the 213 people who are already a part of the Advisory Network. I urge you to make full use of this resource in the New Year. Click the Advisory Network link to see the current users.

The Advisory Network contains four separate components:

One: Get Email Updates

Please click the link above for the EMAIL UPDATES signup page.

Here you can receive updates among any or all of the following 6 options:

1. Funding opportunities

2. Trainings and capacity-building resources

3. News about OA

4. Resources for providers

5. Resources for consumers

6. Resources for researchers

See the attachment to this letter for the 43 select funding, training, and other information that AN members have received in the last few months.

Two: Respond to OA Questions/Surveys

Please click the link above for the EMAIL UPDATES signup page and select the “Respond to OA Questions/Surveys” box. Here you can respond to questions and surveys from OA and the CPG.

Three: Join or Initiate a Group Discussion

Please click the link above and create an account through the JOIN A GROUP DISCUSSION link (different from the email updates account above). These group discussions will keep OA abreast of your concerns, and have the potential to impact program and policy decisions. You can also share information and seek input from your peers.

Click on this Groups tab to see the 14 current groups. To add a new group topic at any time, please use the “Send Recommendations / Requests to OA” link below.

Four: Send Recommendations/Requests to OA

To submit your recommendations/requests, please contact OA directly using the form on the

contact page. Here anyone can send recommendations/requests directly to OA regarding potential program and policy changes. We will respond to all notes and provide these responses to everyone on the Advisory Network and to the CPG.

I urge you to please join the Advisory Network and extend this invitation to your friends and colleagues.  Daniel Coronado (Daniel.Coronado@cdph.) and Michael Foster (Michael.Foster@cdph.) will be happy to further orient you to the AN, including walking

you through it by phone, individually or in a group.

Please see the attached information for additional details if you are interested.

Thank you,

Michelle Roland
